We are a design-led chartered architect practice based in Northamptonshire and Surrey. We follow a simple ethos: create exciting buildings and spaces that reflect our client needs and personality, while respecting site and context.

You are unique and so are your needs and as such each mba* project has its own identity inspired by our clients. We enjoy our job and we want you to enjoy the experience and process of designing and developing your building. We cannot promise a stress free experience, as building involves many third parties to juggle and appease, but we will do all that we can to support and guide you through to a successful outcome.

As a practice we grew through a recession and so understand budget constraints. We aim to bring value to your project by making the most of every penny. With existing buildings, adding more space is not always the answer; by reviewing how a building is used or under used mba* can unlock valuable space and improve the user experience. Through careful planning of new buildings, we can ensure that each square metre of space is justifiable and that future expansion or alterations are considered.

We use both two dimensional schematics and three dimensional modelling to help you visualise your scheme and ensure that the building meets your needs. Be it your dream home or your organisations perfect working environment, a community centre piece or a sound investment; we think every building deserves to be loved.

It is said that good buildings come from good clients; so we have developed a process that helps you make key decisions that drive the project while using our expertise to guide you through to completion.

Following the latest RIBA plan of works as a guide; your project will start with a briefing document that is formulated from our initial meeting. Once a fee has been agreed, design work is undertaken and the project is developed to include your needs and reflect your budget. We undertake all statutory planning and regulation works, provide advice on health and safety and help to find other design team members to compliment the project.

After all applications are approved, as lead designer, we will produce a detailed package of information in order to tender projects and find the correct contractor or negotiate build prices. Beyond this stage we manage the relationship between you and your contractor, administer the contract throughout construction and see the project out to completion; when we will ensure that the building is built to your requirements.

Where ever possible, we try to manage client expectations in line with their budgets and proactively help to overcome issues that may arise throughout the process.
